Spending most of his youth in Colorado, Richard Andrews not only developed a great love for the Rocky Mountains and the Denver Broncos, but also a great love for storytelling early on in his life. Films like The Lord of the Rings and Star Trek made Richard want to take audiences on journeys out of this world and to show them things they had never seen. While he wasn't sure how, he knew only one thing growing up: he wanted to tell stories.

It wasn't until the end of his undergraduate study in screenwriting that Richard discovered his true calling in life: that of film editing. To Richard, editing was more than just a technical craft where one stringed shots together, but one of storytelling and character development. The moment where points of view are established and the journey is experienced. The moment where the movie really does become the movie.

Since earning his Masters Degree in Film Editing, Richard enjoys a life as an assistant editor. When he is not working on films or videos, he uses his spare time to cook and hike. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and hopes to one day work as an editor on the kind of films that inspired him years ago.
